Since 2003-2004, IARCS has made available grants for partial support to travel to conferences and other academic meetings in all areas of Computing Science, both in India and abroad.
To apply for a grant, you have to be affiliated as a student or a faculty member to an academic institution based in India.
Grants are available to support travel to an academic conference outside the country. The support can be used to cover travel costs and conference registration fees.
(a) Click on "Apply Now" below and fill in the online application
form with all details.
(b) Check your registered email for a mail confirming receipt of your application. Your registered email is the one you used to sign up. You can change this at any time by clicking on "My Applications" and updating your communication email address.
(c) In 4-6 weeks, you should receive an email informing you of IARCS-ACM India's decision on your application. You can also log in to this portal and track the status of your application online.
(d) If your request has been approved, please re-visit the portal after you have completed your travel and upload scans of all documents supporting the expenses you wish to claim from the grant approved for you.
(e) Keep checking your registered email (or your account on this portal) to find out if all your documents are in order, or something more is needed. It may take 6 weeks for this notification after scans of all your supporting documents are received.
(f) If all your documents are in order, you will be informed by email (or you can check by logging in to your account on this portal) when the grant amount is transferred to you.
(g) A cheque/demand draft for the grant amount will be sent to your correspondence address. Alternatively, you can also opt for transfer by NEFT.
(h) If your documents are not in order, please upload scans of the right set of documents at the earliest. It is in your interest to upload the correct documents at the earliest, since your application will not be processed further until we receive all documents in order.
(i) Once you receive the grant amount, please remember to send us a signed copy of the receipt (hardcopy, by postal mail) at the earliest. Your case is not closed, and you will not be eligible to apply for further grants until we receive this.
